What we believe

God

We believe in the One true God who is the eternal I AM, creator of heaven and earth, and the redeemer of mankind. He exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each with distinct attributes but united in nature.

Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, I Peter 1:2, II Corinthians 13:14

The Bible

We believe that the Word of God (Holy Bible) was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all scripture is verbally inspired of God and as such is the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.

Exodus 24:4, Deuteronomy 4:1-2 & 17:19, II Timothy 3:15-17, Romans 15:4 & 16:25-26, I Peter 1:25, II Peter 1:19-21, Psalm 19:7-10 & 119:11, 89, 105, & 140, Proverbs 30:5

Eternity

Jesus Christ will return to earth to judge the living and the dead, determining who will receive eternal life in heaven and who will face eternal separation from God in hell.

John 5:28-29, Daniel 12:2, and II Corinthians 4:14

Jesus Christ

Christ is the eternally begotten Son of God who, as Jesus Christ, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He perfectly revealed God's will, took on human nature without sin, and died on the cross as a substitute for mankind's redemption. After being raised from the dead, He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God, serving as the One Mediator for reconciliation between humanity and God.

Matthew 1:18-23, Mark 1:1 & 3:11, Luke 1:35 & 22:70, Isaiah 7:14 & 53:1-12, John 1:1-18, Hebrews 1:1-3, I Corinthians 1:30, Romans 1:3-4, Acts 1:9-11, I Timothy 2:5-6, Titus 2:13

Salvation

Salvation through Jesus Christ involves redemption and is offered freely to those who accept him as Lord and Savior. It includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. Repentance and faith are crucial in this process, along with a commitment to live a life of obedience. Ultimately, salvation leads to a deep relationship with God.

Genesis 3:15, Exodus 3:14-17, Matthew 1:21, Luke 1:68-69, John 1:11-14, 3:3-21, & 5:24, Acts 2:21, Romans 1:16-18, I Corinthians 1:18, II Corinthians 5:17-20, Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 2:4-22

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine, who inspired the scriptures and enables mankind to understand truth. He exalts Christ, convicts of sin, calls to the Savior, and effects regeneration. He baptizes believers into the body of Christ, cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, bestows spiritual gifts, and seals believers until final redemption. His presence in believers guarantees their transformation into the fullness of Christ. The Holy Spirit enlightens and empowers believers and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.

Genesis 1:2, Judges 14:6, Job 26:13, Psalm 51:11, Isaiah 61:1-3, Matthew 1:18 & 28:19, Mark 1:10, & 12, Luke 1:35, 4:1, & 18-19, John 4:24, Acts 1:8, Romans 8:9-11,14-16, & 26-27; II Corinthians 2:10-14, Revelation 1:10; 22:17

Evangelism

Every follower of Christ and every Church of the Lord Jesus Christ has the duty and privilege to make disciples of all nations. It is a spiritual necessity of the regenerate life to engage in missionary efforts, as commanded by Christ. This includes preaching the gospel to all nations and seeking to win the lost to Christ through verbal witness, Christian lifestyle, and other methods in line with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Genesis 12:1-3, Exodus 19:5-6, Isaiah 6:1-8, Matthew 9:37-38, Luke 10:1-18; 24:46-53, John 14:11-12, Acts 1:8, Romans 10:13-15

The Church

The Church is the body and bride of Christ on earth, founded on the day of Pentecost. It is composed of all who believe in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross. A New Testament church is an autonomous congregation of believers, observing Christ's ordinances and seeking to spread the Gospel worldwide. The scriptural officers are Pastors, Elders, and Deacons, with leadership roles limited to qualified men. The church is seen as the Body of Christ, consisting of all believers from every nation.

Matthew 16:15-19, Acts 2:41-42,47, 5:11-14 & 6:3-6, Romans 1:7, I Corinthians 1:2 & 9:13-14, Ephesians 1:22-23, Philippians 1:1, Colossians 1:18, I Timothy 2:9-14, Hebrews 11:39-40, I Peter 5:1-4, Revelation 2-3 & 21:2-3

The Family

The family is seen as the foundational institution of society, ordained by God. Marriage is between one man and one woman, symbolizing the relationship between Christ and the church. Husbands are called to love and lead their wives, while wives are called to respect and support their husbands. Children are a blessing from the Lord and are to honor and obey their parents. Parents are to teach their children spiritual and moral values. Biblical passages are referenced to support these beliefs about marriage and family.
